Starting the summer of 2019, I've become less of a manuscript preacher and made more use of outlines. Though it's better for my current setting, there's also drawbacks to this method, one of which is losing the manuscript to post! If, in the past, you've read rather than listened, I invite you to try listening and send me feedback on the change.

On November 27th, I began my work at Capital University, both serving as a spiritual aid all students, faculty, and staff, as well as directly overseeing Embrace Ministries, our University-sponsored campus ministry. The sermons above this note come from that time period, and as such, both my preaching schedule and the sermon audience are irregular. I preach many weeks on campus in Capital Worship, our University-wide worship service, at 10:05AM every Wednesday. I also preach in local congregations and at the worship opportunities of Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University.
I preached the 2013 Ash Wednesday services in 2013 at Duke Chapel. The sermon begins at about the twenty minute mark. The manuscript is also available below.

This column holds a few examples of preaching from the past that others have suggested I keep available for reading.
This brief sermon (manuscript only) comes from Holy Saturday 2013, and explores what it means that we declare Christ "descended into hell" in the Apostles' Creed.

This sermon, part of Pilgrim Lutheran Church's Epiphany series on Jesus' identity, looks at how Jesus feeds through the Parable of the Wedding Banquet in Matthew 22. The manuscript is available below. You can access the audio here.
